Project Overview
Rod Geeks, part of the St. Croix Rod family, provides premium rod blanks to craft builders around the world. Their products are among the best in the world, but their brand identity didn’t communicate that quality.
We needed to overhaul the brand, giving it a voice true to Rod Geeks and anglers, while also reshaping it’s visual look and feel.
After initial research and discovery, including the use of our proprietary brand tools that help shape brand archetype and personality, we set out to first reshape the look and feel before sharing it with the world through a new website, digital strategy and advertising.

The Rod Geeks rebrand, was dramatic, shifting from a “geek” focused logo to a modern look & feel that’s popular among today’s anglers. We wanted to capture the technical prowess along with the artistry featured in custom rod building.


Rod Geeks operates exclusively online. We needed to create a website that allows customers to easily find what they’re looking for, while providing essential information and inspiration for their rod-building projects.

While, Rod Geeks sells online, its customers consume media on all fronts. That includes print publications dedicated to their craft. Our goal was to reposition the brand as a rod-builder resource that delivers the highest-quality rod blanks available. And we looked to do it in a way that stood out from the competition.

From featuring custom rod builders to showcasing Rod Geeks’ commitment to quality and the latest tech, our digital campaigns were designed to drive meaningful traffic while continuing to build brand affinity and credibility.
